Shizugatake

Shiga Prefecture

Shizugatake is a mountain 422m above sea level. It is located at the border of Yogo town and is counted as one of the 8 scenic sites of Lake Biwa called "The great view of Shizugatake-new snow." This mountain was a site for the Battle of Shizugatake in the past. So the name Shizugatake is engraved in history.

Access (nearest railway station)

Take a kokoku- bus from " Kinomoto" station on JR Hokuriku Honsen Line, and get off Oto (15 minutes bus ride)/ 3 minutes from Kinomoto IC on the Hokuriku Expressway.
