Shiga Prefectural Samegai Trout Farm
Shiga Prefecture
This trout farm is located in the scenic "Samegai Valley," and uses the clean water from the Souya River and occupies a large riverbed. Opened in 1878, this is the first prefectural fish firm built in Japan. There are about 400,000 rainbow trout and 600,000 char. Within the large ground of about 190,000 square meters, there are fish ponds, a museum, a research room, an aquarium, as well as fishing pond and restaurants. It is suited for a family excursion.

Adults 350yen, High school and university students 250yen, Elementary and junior high school students 120yen. Fre of charge for children under the age of 6 years old
