Shiga Prefecture

Mt. Ibuki is 1377m tall and is the highest mountain in Shiga prefecture. It is chosen as one of the 100 greatest mountains in Japan. From the summit parking lot located on Mt. Ibuki Driveway to the summit of Mt. Ibuki, there are 3 mountain climbing paths. Hikers can enjoy the beautiful flowers and scenery.

Take a bus from "Ominagaoka" station on the JR Tokaido honsen line and get off at "Ibukitozan-guchi." Then walk for 10 minutes./ 5 minutes from Maibara IC on the Hokuriku Expressway.
