Colored leaves in Eigen-ji Temple
Shiga Prefecture Higashi-Omi Area
Eigen-ji is one of the most famous scenic spots for colored leaves in the Kansai area. In autumn, the mountains of Suzuka and all around the temple are colored in crimson red. Especially the stone-paved path toward the general gate to the mountain gate is colored completely red, and the colored leaves form a crimson-colored tunnel. Every year, many people visit here for colored maple leaves viewing and is full of people in the autumn.
