Koyomi Hall

Fukui Prefecture Obama Area

Koyomi (or Calendar) Hall was founded by the Tsuchimikado family, who were descendants of Abe no Seimei, the famous Ying and Yang master. At one point in the family's history, the Tsuchimikados moved to Natasho, and there founded a training ground for the study of the astronomical calendar. This rare type of archive hall displays about 1000 objects and other things related to astronomy and the astronomical calendar.
