Ajimano in Echizen city is known as the scene of the sad love poems of Nakatomi Yakamori. Yakamore was sent to Ajimano from the capital of Heijo. The maiden Sano Otogami remained in the capital and longed for her lover. In some of the poems exchanged between Otomo no Yakamochi and Otomo no Ikenushi, the story is set in Takefu, Echizen city. Manyo Hall is an archive museum where references related Manyoshu are displayed.

Manyo Hall is located in the Echizen-no-Sato, Ajimanoen. Ajimanoen has monuments for poems in Manyoshu and visitors can enjoy the flowers in each season.
