The Ishimawa Museum of Modern Literature was established in the former Forth Upper School building built in 1891 in a Western-style building made of red bricks. It is designated as an important cultural property. Various works of modern writers and literary men from this area, from Saisei Muroi, Kyoka Izumi, to Shusei Tokuda are preserved and displayed here.
