Myoryu-ji Temple

Myoryuji, known as Ninja-dera (Temple of the Ninja) is an old temple of the Nichiren sect. It was founded by the 3rd Kaga lord Toshitsune Maeda as a prayer place for Maeda Family. Although it does not look special from the outside, the structure inside the building is complex, built in four-stories with 7 layers. It has 23 rooms and 29 stairs. In order to deceive the eyes of enemies, the total of 29 trick devices are built in, such as hidden chambers and stairs, labyrinthine corridors, and secret tunnels. Bookings required because guides will lead the way.
