Ishikawa Prefecture Kanazawa Area

This was built in a corner of Kenrokuen in 1863 by the 13th Kaga lord of Nariyasu Maeda for her mother Shinryuin. It is a two-story Yoshemune-zukuri style building with a thatched roof that incorporates two different styles: the first floor is in Shoin-zururi style, and the second floor is in Shoin-zukuri Sukiya style. It is designated as an important cultural property. Also, the garden surrounding the palace is designated as a national scenic spot.

From JR Kanazawa station, take a Hokutetsu Bus to Dewamachi (in front of Kokuritsu hospital). It is 2 minutes on foot from there.
