Wakura Hot Springs located by the sea even appears in a poem in Manyoshu. This base of Noto tourism is visited annually by over one million six hundred thousand people. The origin of the name Wakura comes from the hot spring used to be known as "a seashore where hot water emerges." (waku means emerge, ura means seashore). It is said that the hot spring began when a fisherman saw an injured bird healing its legs in the hot spring. The simple but kind hospitality of Noto will please the tourists who can also enjoy the delicious food of each season. The hot spring is calcium and sodium chloride spring of 94℃ at the source.
