Myoujou-ji Temple

Myoujou-ji temple was the head temple of the Nichiren sect during the medieval period in Hokuriku. The temple was founded by Nichiren Shonin's grandson and his disciple, Nichizo, in 1294. It is the foremost temple in Hokuriku. It has ten buildings, including the main hall and the five-fold tower that were built by Maeda Family in the Kaga Domain, and these are designated as important national cultural properties.

Access (nearest railway station)

From JR Hakui station, take Noto-seibu bus bound for Togi, Takahama and get off at Takidani-guchi bus stop; then, walk for 20 mins. 10 mins by car from Yanagida IC on Noto Toll Road.
