Keta Taisha Shrine

Keta Taisha Shrine is the foremost shrine in the Noto area, which is dedicated to Ookuninushi. It is said to be about 2000 years old, and since its founding it was one of the Great National Shrines. Ootomo no Yakamochi visited here in the past. Various buildings including the shrine gate and the prayer hall are designated as important cultural properties. Also, the forest located behind the shrine is almost like a primeval forest which is highly valued for study purposes. Many young people visit here wishing to receive benefits in the form of good relationships.
