Hamamatsu City Akino Fuku Art Museum

Shizuoka Prefecture Hamamatsu Area

The Hamamatsu City Akino Fuku Art Museum is located on top of a hill surrounded by green trees with Tenryu under your eyes. It was opened in April 1998 as a part of a project called "creating a cultural town." The museum building is two-storied and is made of plenty of natural material such as local tenryu cedar trees and mortar. This unique museum was designed by Mr. Terunobu Fujimori. The first floor houses a permanent exhibition room and the second floor has an exhibition room that can be used for planned exhibitions, or as a citizen’s gallery or for their creative activities, or as a seminar room. This exhibition room has a section introducing the works of the late Mr. Akino. ※Booking necessary if you need guides.
