Kiga Sekisho

Shizuoka Prefecture Hamamatsu Area

Kiga Sekisho was established in 1601 by Tokugawa Ieyasu and it had been an important check point on Hime Highway. In recent years, the gate and the building for the main guardroom was restored. Now the scenery of Sekisho in the past is reproduced with the arrangement of devices such as Sekisho guard dolls, etc.

Access (nearest railway station)

From the No.15 platfor at the bus terminal in front of JR Hamamatsu station, taka bus bound for Kiga ・Mikkabi for about 50 minutes. Get off at "Kiga-ekimae" and walk for about 3 minutes.
