Osugidani & Odaigahara
Mie Prefecture Chunansei Area
Osugidani is an unexplored region in the upper stream of Miya River. The valley has a steep cliff with rapid currents and has hundreds of waterfalls. Although it is covered with thick primeval forest, a suspension bridge and a narrow road have been built. However, because the road is very steep and it is impossible to go around in a day, the place is suited for advanced-level mountain hikers. Odaigahara is located in Daiko Mountain Ranges. It is surrounded by deep primeval forest which is the source of water in Osugidani. The top of the mountain is open and flat and there are various facilities. The mountain receives so much rain and it extends to Nara prefecture. Location: 1696m above sea level.
