Matsusaka Castle Ruins
Mie Prefecture Chunansei Area

Matsusaka Castle was originally built in 1588 by Gamou Ujisato. No buildings survived so only the gorgeous stone fence exists now. There is Motoori Norinaga Memorial Hall, a Historical and Folklore Archive Hall, and other buildings. The site is a popular spot for cherry blossoms and wisteria flowers, and is well known as Matsusaka park.
