Matsusaka Castle was originally built in 1588 by Gamou Ujisato. No buildings survived so only the gorgeous stone fence exists now. There is Motoori Norinaga Memorial Hall, a Historical and Folklore Archive Hall, and other buildings. The site is a popular spot for cherry blossoms and wisteria flowers, and is well known as Matsusaka park.
