Museum of Modern Ceramic Art, Gifu (Ceramic Park MINO)

The Ceramic Park MINO was built in harmony with the folds of the Azuma town mountains. It was designed by a world renowned architect, Mr. Arata Isozaki, and was opened in 2002 as a complex building for industry and culture with a ceramics theme. The Museum of Modern Ceramic Art is located in this building and is focused only on the theme of modern ceramic art. It is the only museum in Japan that collects contemporary (after the 19th century) works from within Japan and around the world.

Access (nearest railway station)

From Tajimi station, take a Ceramic Park Bus for about 15 minutes. Get off at "Ceramic Park MINO." Or, take a Totetsu bus, and get off at "Cera-Pak, Gendai-Togei-Bijyutsukan-guchi."

Entry fee

General 320yen (260yen), University Students 21yen (160yen) ��Free of charge for infants, elementary, junior high, and high school students. Separate fees apply for planned exhibitions. �� Fees shown in ( ) apply for a group of more than 20 people.
