Takayama Festival

Takayama festival is a general term for the Hie Shrine's spring Sanno Festival (April 14th and 15th) and the Sakurayama-Hachimangu Shrine's autumn Hachiman Festival (October 9th and 10th). The festival is considered to be one of the 3 most beautiful festivals in Japan. The karakuri dolls move skillfully and festival floats parade through the streets.
