The Cherry Blossoms in Ichiya Castle

Sunomata-Ichiya Castle is said to have taken only four days to build under the command of Tokichiro Kinoshita. This park, where the castle used to be, is well known as a scenic spot for viewing cherry blossoms. When cherry blossoms are in bloom, many stalls are set up, many people visit, and the park is filled with a happy feeling.

Access (nearest railway station)

From JR Gifu station or Meitetsu Gifu station, take a Gifu Bus bound for Sunomata for about 20 minutes. Get off at Sunomata, and then walk for about 5 minutes.
