The Great Buddha of Gifu

This is the best Great Buddha of Divine Protection in Japan. It took 38 years to complete, and was built with the cooperation of common people. It is 13.7 meters in height, and was made by pasting clay, sutras and gold leafs on the structure, which is made of bamboo. Visitors will enjoy a sense of peace when encountering its calm visage.
