Gifu castle stands at the summit of Mount Kinka. The castle was built almost 800 years ago. The present castle was rebuilt in 1956 and underwent a major renovation in 1997. The beautiful clear stream of the Nagara River looks like a silver belt from the top of the castle tower.

From JR Gifu station or Meitetsu Gifu station, take a bus to Gifu Park stop. Then use the ropeway to the top of the mountain.
